Hey guys, I searched already buy mainly found peoples preference from one to the other. Just got a 6 spd from a tip, and my tip had sirius radio. The 6 spd has xm, and Im trying to find out the easiest way to go back to sirius. Can the dealer do this? Or will I get screwed going through them? Thanks Jay

If the new car doesn't have TPMS or navigation you could have the dealer swap the SAT receivers. Otherwise you would need to find one that works with TPMS and/or navigation. Be prepared to pay an hour labor to swap the SAT receiver in the old car, it's a pain to get all the trim removed to get to the SAT receiver.

I think you will get messed over because I believe that it is a different reciever and they will want to charge you to change out the reciever.

I called sirius and they said that I could go with an aftermarket unit from soundgate, and that it hides under the dash. But from the website, it appears not to have any newer yrs than 03

Just get the Sirius unit and swap it out for the XM. You may find a person who wants to do that who has a 07 ordered as one can not get XM anymore from Audi.

I popped open the storage bin (where the receiver normally resides) and plugged it in. You will need to secure the receiver to the plastic base of the storage bin: either screw it in or use industrial strength velcro. Next, you will need to move the CAN BUS switch in the front passenger footwell.
Of course, I need to mention that mine is the standard radio systems (no RNS+ nav system or Bose).
When I purchased the sat receiver at ClairParts, I only needed to specify my set-up. I could have selected either XM or Sirius. You shouldn't have a problem swapping them out...ie. no need for a new, Sirius-specific head unit.
Good luck!
