The North Texas Audi Group will open their doors to all enthusiasts for their driving events. Including Audi, MB, BMW, Mitsu, Jag, VW, and Ford. However, I think we may have gone too far with this one.

Nothing runs as slow as...I mean like a Deere!

Still had a great time blasting through the Ouachita Mtns a week ago despite the occasional camper, trailer, or tractor.

STAG (i'm one of the founding members) has stayed 100% Audi, we just don't do anything. at the moment, members are more interested in getting together for sushi than getting together for a drive or track event. so i've been laying low.

Most are Audi fans or former owners. We had the BBQ drive last spring down your way. You should have come out with your old school S4. ;-)

I think there will be more track events this fall now that it is starting to cool down.

Perhaps we'll connect up the two groups sometime.

it just seems like there are 2 kinds of enthusiasts: 1) the ones who want to meet, socialize, dine, and fawn over their cars in the parking lot for an hour or so; or 2) the ones who want to meet, go for a rigorous 2-hour drive through the hill country (or auto-x, or track event), and perhaps incorporate a meal into the day.

I'm a type 2 person. I've gone to type 1 events in the past, but I just don't see the point. I have enough friends...I'm trying to avoid people! But I do like driving my car, and don't mind hanging out with people who feel the same way.

So we'll see...the changing weather here certainly makes me more motivated to go out and do stuff.
