I was wondering if anyone knows when or how often we get a new NAV DVD? I checked the copyright date on the one I got with my 2006 S4 and it was dated 2004! I decided to check this out as some roads weren't on there that I drive on.

Does Audi even provide free DVD updates? Most VW/Audi dealerships charge a premium for DVD/CD NAV updates, so your best bet is to check with NAVTEQ for the most current version. The most current DVD is ver. 2.0 for B7 A4/S4's.

NAVTEQ

Updates are supposed to come out once a year. Just ordered Version 2A which just came out. Make sure you check the Navteq website to see what kind of changes were made. Depending on where you live you may not benefit enough from the latest version to justify the $199 price.

It got released in November 2005, after first getting announced in August 2005. The first DVD 1A got released late 2004 when the first B6 S4 showed up with the Navigation Plus RNS-E.

I would guess that the 3A DVD will be released later this year, maybe between November and January. If not earlier. And no, there are no free upgrades to the DVD. The last two where about $200 each when shipped directly from Navteq.

Just got the car back on Friday night! My biggest complaint is their detail job. They say they spent 4 hours on the car. still dusty and finger prints on the windows!

I have a few indicator lights blinking but they said that is normal and they will handle.

Body looks perfect.

I got a free DEBADGING too! I guess they forgot to put the V8 back on the car!

You sure had to go through a lot of trouble for a debadging, huh? :)

Glad the body work looks good...hate to see the S4 smashed.
