These dipsticks are crazy!

traded for mine at 6k...no dealer for me, I will do the maint...up to the fairly significant 45k service.

Dealer and flunkies roaming the lots don't touch my car unless absolutely necessary due to a warranty repair...which hasn't happened yet, knock on wood.

Anyway, this is probably a no-brainer, but don't let them wash it.

tires are one thing, but oil level...I would hope that they wouldn't leave that underfilled.

aboev that...which I ALWAYS start off at after an oil change. It's easier to see if any is being used by starting max full.

A free alignment is also available if there are any uneven tire wear issues .

make sure they rotate your tires...5k is the only time they do it for free. I really doubt some guy spends the amount of time they actually charge to do all the bullsh1t listed in the manual. They probably just change the oil and filter, VAG it, rotate tires, test drive, done.

Make sure they don't overfill your oil...they do that a LOT.

if anything the dealer may leave at low end of range, saving a few bucks, let the owner top off to max full if they want. Doing my own, I don't suffer from this problem.

but that's just my personal observation in 4 different Audis over 6 years. check the oil when you pick the car up, that's all I'm suggesting.
