I recently picked up a 2002 S4 bi-turbo, and looking through a few things, seems very few people know anything about building these cars up (I am used to building Chevys were anyone with half a brain can make a ton of power)

what is the deal with this stage 1 2 and 3 thing?

stage 1... chip
stage 2... chip and catback exhaust
stage 2+... stage 2, with downpipes or intercoolers
stage 3... bigger turbos, plus stage 2+ items

Wow, I didn't think there was an engine easier to build up than a small block or big block chevy, but it sounds like audi has it. That is pretty simple stuff, you don't even have to take off the valve covers.

what does these parts cost, and how much power are some of you guys running?
