Supposedly there's a large cross-over between Audi customers and iPod users. So here's something to help the next five months pass while we wait for the new RS4 to reach US dealers. I took the RS4 segment from the British program "Top Gear" and edited it for the Video iPod.

It's a great thing to carry around with you to remember why you're dropping $70k+ on a car. And you can show your friends that you're not really crazy after all.

Oh, you can watch it with any MPEG-4 viewer even if you don't have an iPod.

Follow the link. Have fun!<ul><li><a href="http://homepage.mac.com/frydavid/">http://homepage.mac.com/frydavid/</a</li></ul>

I am one of the only 3 people in the US that does not have an iPod, but it will definitely be played regularly on my Treo 650. Thanks again!

Must be MP4 file format, can use MPEG-4 or H.264 as the codec. The video should have a maximum width of 320 pixels if you use H.264 and use no more than 700kbps bandwidth.

Those are not exactly the right standards but good rules of thumb. Details can be found here:

The file I posted is a 320 x 186 MPEG-4 video using 495 kbps bandwidth. The file is 47 megs. I hope it works with whatever device you have.

It's the AVS Video Converter. It's only $30 and well worth it. It converts ANY video format to ANY other video format. It has profiles built in for the video Ipod as well as lots of other devices.

Download the demo to see for yourself. Best I've seen.<ul><li><a href="http://www.avsmedia.com/VideoConverter/index.aspx">http://www.avsmedia.com/VideoConverter/index.aspx</a</li></ul>
