I've had it in my s4 cab for about a week now. More to come sometime in the New Year ;)

Thanks for the pics... can't wait to see more. I didn't realize the entire screen folded out like that, that's pretty sweet.

i asked and was told that it won't. I haven't tried it yet though. I can see the A8 with it's higher MMI screen being better suited for playback but this unit is too low. best to keep your eyes on the road.

yes, the dvd is for the nav. however, it will play mp3s as well if you burned a dvd with it. haven't tried that yet either. you will have to remove the dvd nav disc though (why bother when you can already use the two SD slots for mp3s). very nice system. i'd recommend it!

My previous e46 m3 did the same thing. but it only revealed a tape deck! so nothing new as far as a flip screen but immensely different in what lies beneath it ;)

whereas the "Car" button in the A8 allows you to program and access a multitude of functions and information; the button in this car only gives you the software version. but then again, the s4 cab doesn't have an adaptive suspension, synchronized passenger seat positioning, interior lighting control or all the wonderful features that the A8 has.

But hey, with this system, Audi has certainly caught up and has surpassed many of its competitors. Couple that with 340hp in the form of a V8, quattro and one of the finest interiors, there's not much out there that will touch these cars.

I've got a pioneer avic n1 in my car now. I've got an order in for a new B7 S4 and for now have requested the Nav Plus, just because of the easy of use with the bose system. The Nav is a little better on the Pioneer, since it does 3D, but I could live with without it. My big deal is what kind of inputs the unit has in the rear..... It's got to have a cd changer input, but would there be some sort of input for dvd player? I'd like to hook up a dvd changer. I know there is an input for a tv tuner, so I'm just checking.

The bottom line is, I could swap my pioneer into the B7, but if I do that it's not worth the extra cost of the nav plus..

Your input would be great.
