View Full Version : A4 redesign equatable to Integra redesign

I used to have a 96 integra and liked it quite abit (until I got my A4 and then it was no comparison). They did a redesign on it in '98 that was all cosmetic. Fluffed up the bumpers a little bit and changed the lights. Otherwise the car was completely the same.
It appears that Audi did the same thing with the A4 to 'refresh' the design. I wonder why they chose to do it in the middle of the model year.
Since it is a '99, the 2000 model could be completely different as expected but why do the refresh so late? Is it possible that they are prepping us for the S4 since it will have the current body style and the 2000 A4 model will have that A6 look?
Just some thoughts.
If you are going through all the trouble of making new molds for the bumpers, you think they would have made it more obvious.
Christian J. Long

I'm sorry i'm jsut now understanding that the styling changes are just updates, and a completely new body style will emerge in 2000?
These"product freshening" changes, as Audi calls them, apply to both 99 and 00 models, based on the letter to dealers. The new model is due in 01.

This is probably in response to the new 328. My best guess, anyways.
Rob
