the Onkyo TX-SR705. It looks good to my novice eyes. It does basic OSD for everthying via the HDMI out. And.. its only 515.00 at Amazon.<ul><li><a href="http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?i=580TXS705S&amp;tp=179">Onkyo TX-SR705</a></li></ul>

most of the time i setup the recievers right through the front of the display on the reciever. I only use the osd for the manual eq setup. SInce youll probably be using the mic to setup your sound, you dont even need it for that. Though you should set your eq manually if you know whats good for ya ;p

YES i hate those mic calibration thingys

I'm getting conflicting info.

When you are viewing via HDMI and you make a simple volume adjustment to the Onkyo, do you get a volume bar on your TV?

Amazon sent it out so I'll just return it, unless it is a better overall unit than the Pioneer?
