I want to read people's thoughts before I go spewing mine. Thanks.

I've heard them sound horrible with the wrong amp (B&K, Yamaha, Onkyo - it's not that these amps aren't good amps, it's just that they weren't the ideal match for the Montages for my ears) and really useful with certain other amps (Prima Luna, Naim and Audio Analog).

Speakers are like ties. You have to choose for yourself, regardless of what others may say. Matching the speaker with the right amp and room makes a huge difference.

They were powered by a sunfire amp. I can't figure out if they are a true three way or just a two way. I am looking for a true 3 way that doesn't use such a big ass mid-range. I am looking for a 3.5 to 4 inch mid as the bigger you go the less dispersion you get thus having to toe the speakers in. I am leaning really hard towards the paradigm reference series. I have yet to hear a a three way with such nice detailed sound but then again they are $6000/per.

Much less expensive speakers can easily sound much less impressive.
Sunfire wouldn't be my first choice to partner with the Logans however.

I'd recommend going for the speakers that your ears and budget most agree on using the amplification of your preference, regardless of how many drivers are being used.
