I included a link to the previous post.

I spoke with Pioneer today and they are swapping out my 1140. They no longer make the 1140 so I will be getting a Kuro 1150 instead.

I'm pretty happy with the end result but I did have to go thru some hoops to get it done. It didn't matter to me about the upgrade because I was completely satisfied with the 1140 but the 1150 is just a bonus.

I don't think any of the problems were widespread at all. I just feel like I got a lemon as I stated.

I'll let you guys know how I like the new 1150 when they bring it here.

http://forums.audiworld.com/htelect/msgs/25144.phtml</a

You get a few 'not possibles' at first, but to persevere is to get a result.

1150 is basically the elite version of the kuro 5080 which already has been regarded as one of the best flat panel displays of its size. I bet the first thing that will make your jaw drop will be the blacks, even compared the 1140 which already had very good blacks.

to repair it. But as I explained before in the email and on the phone to the first Pioneer rep this would essentially be the 3rd trip to the shop but because the service tech found the other thing with the input selector. These 2 problems could/would be done at the same time.

I also told her that I would need to buy 3 more tv's for very soon and that considering the way Pioneer was handling this situation I may be looking at other brands. I think this may have well been the cherry on top.

I'll let you guys know how I like it when it arrives.
