Im on the fence with this RF remote deal. Looking into getting the 890 Harmony with RF extender. My rack will be located in the basement. If I have both my DTV HD recievers in this rack will both change channels when I just want the living Rm tv to change channels. Id hate the for the better half watching Lifetime in the bedroom and I change channels in the living Rm and mess her program up. Now that I think about it I might not - haha.

and what does standard HD box mean?

the harmony RF station has assignable outputs. just make sure you keep track of which emitter goes to which box.
some precautions to take;
-makes sure and cover the emitters on the dtv boxes with the caps provided (newer 890 builds), this controls IR confusion. also put the rf station behind the gear, or cover it with tape, as the rf station itself has got an IR flood on it.

with longer runs. What I mean by standard HD box is that its not the DVR version.
