Has anyone been able to order the new SIDEGUARD head-level airbag system that is described in the Audi press release about the 99.5 A4? If so, how much is the option?<br>

I have asked my dealer to look into this for me as I have a '99.5 on order. I think AoA will probably wait until the 2000 model year and then offer Sideguard on all the models. But who knows with them. I wouldn't even be surprised if they decide to call the '99.5 a 2000 model. The next generation A4 will not be here until the 2001 model year.<p>BTW, I noticed that the VWoA web site now lists Head Side Airbags as an option on the Passat. I called their product info number and was told that they know nothing about this. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.<p>-Kennon
