I had to reinstall windows on a friend's TV who didn't have a monitor handy. I ended up just hooking it up to his Plasma TV (via DVI cable just so I could install WindowsXP.
Well after only 25 minutes or so after installing there is now a burned in image of the progress bar.
I always knew burn-in was a possibility on Plasma's and CRTs but after 25 minutes? That's insane.
The owner of the TV suggested that it is probably just ghosting that will go away if he leaves the TV on. After 15 minutes of having it on regular TV the extent of the damage does seem to be less but it is still apparent (only on blacks)
Will it continue to fade? Can a plasma really suffer burn in so quickly?
