I'm in for Yamaha RX-V1800. Will let you know when I get it. <starts saving>.
At this point I will forgo HD-DVD in favor of doing the upconverting through the receiver and put the extra money towards a good receiver. I don't mind sitting on the fence on the whole HD-DVD/Blu-ray for some time.

Only problem is fast camera pans on my projector look blurry but as long as the camera doesn't move too fast, it's insane!
GO RAGS!!!
player with 5-9 free movies. You really can't go wrong at that price point, IMHO. Oh yeah, the price indicated is my guess at where the entry level Toshiba player might be on Black Friday or leading up to Xmas.

This gives me everything I need in terms of sonic quality and future support for HD DVD.

A USB port and an extra 10 watts/ch.
They also throw in some higher grade caps in the audio stage, but if it's mainly for movies the RXV-1800 should be plenty.
