View Full Version : Can anyone suggest a good pair of noise cancelling headphones other than Bose? As far as noise reduction and sound quality, he said there were about the same. I've had those Maxells for 2 years now and am very please with the sound quality and comfort on long flights. On the other hand, the pair of Shure e2c I have is a major POS. Sound quality is poor (too much treble, not enough bass), and you need a powerful amp to drive them. I dunno... maybe it's just my ears, but I've tried all the different cuffs that they came with, and I still can't get them to sound good. The $15 Koss Sparkplugs (also in-ear type) sounded better. The set I have are the best sounding headphones I've owned and I highly reccommend either one. Stay away from the Bose crap. Slave IV 10-10-2007, 02:55 PM because the lower (single driver) models are not worth it. Again, I highly reccommend those or the Ultimate Ears (the super.fi 5 comes in a couple different versions and is probably the best value for in-ear style headphones). If you go with over-ear sets w/ electronic NC, I've been really impressed with the SQ of Koss headphones and I'd look into those. STAY AWAY FROM ALL BOSE PRODUCTS (unless you like paying more for inferior products)! |
