I found a sale that has them going for that price.

I have rt55s (I think) and could not believe the difference when I swapped out the old large gauge monster cable for solid core Audio quest cable. it totally smoothed out the top end and tightened up the flabby boxey bottom end. worth considering and you should be able to get bulk from your local dealer. Type4 at $4 a foot is a decent option. they may also have type2 for around $2 a foot. or rocket 33 or rocket 44 for $5ft and $10ft respectively. those are retail prices and you may be able to dicker a bit on the price.
