Marantz are beautiful plasmas. I have more experience with them than any other plasma when i was employed by an high-end a/v company. i don't have acces to their plasmas, but if i werent on a budget that would be my choice for excellent video quality and the most appealing to the eye.

At the time of purchase, it was priced at a premium to most plasmas, except Pio Elites, Runco and Fujitsus. Now the price differential is even more, as the median price of plasmas has dropped. At the time of purchase, I had little choice since I live at altitude and the only plasmas then "certified" for altitude were Marantz, Runco and Fujitsu, and the latter two were several thousand more $$ than the Marantz. I thought, and still think, the Marantz competes well on picture quality with the Runco and Fujitsu lines. Now, of course, more manufacturers are building plasmas that work at altitude for a lot fewer dollars than Marantz.

Charlotte. Use to be the systems engineer for Infinite Audio & Theater. However went back to electrical engineering for power plants, so this has been my part-time adventure for the last couple of years, no store front. Feel free to email me:
