looking at units from StarTech and Gefen. Need the ability to go from 1920x1080 RGBHV (VGA connector) to 1080p DVI or HDMI. Conversion from 1080P via component (instead of VGA) is also acceptable if significantly cheaper.
I'm attempting to get 1080P from my 360 mainly for HD-DVD, but also for SD upconversion. TV only accepts 1080p via HDMI or DVI-D (limited to 1280x720 via DVI-A). If no units do an acceptable job at a reasonable price, I'll just wait for the next revision of the 360 with HDMI
TIA

and I have a used one for sale if your interested.
BTW, the 360's max output is 1920x1080p/25, yes, 25. not the glorious 24 that is so desired.

when your display settings are set to 1080p, you get a blank screen instead of a menu.
you must change it to 1080i or 720p.

the flaw only happens with this setup
360(1080p25)-processor(1080p60)-projector
change the 360's display setting to 1080i,
360(1080i60)- processor(1080p60)- projector=beautiful
The 360 elite may have hdmi, but I dought they fixing the output. so Im waiting to see what it actually can do.
if you want the 1080p25 just get the RGB cable at your local walmart.

and I have the VGA cable, but my set only accepts u to 1280x720 via analog RGBHV. If I use DVI-D, I can go 1920x1080

I still recommend an oppo for that sort of task.
your fps is still off regardless of connection.
