You need cupholders and, in my opinion, leather to make it easier to clean. If you have kids in your theater, you'll be giving the room a thorous cleaning at least once a month.
I recommend seating by Coaster. I was able to get 6 leather seats on ebay for $1600 shipped. The furniture feels a little cheap but it looks great and works perfectly after 6 solid months of abuse.

I would LOVE to have real HT seating but being a small apartment need smaller/moveable chairs. Also on a tight budget

It's what I've got (I think), under 100" wide for a row of 3. If space is really tight then consider seating from a real movie theater. The chairs are small and fairly durable but not very comfortable.

Some Lane products are decent too, but Ekorness is in a league of their own. Nothing comes close. Trouble is, they start at about $1100 per chair, but comfort for your dollar results in great value and they'll last a decade or two.
He's right though...I have an Ekornes reclining chair I bought 15 years ago...still looks and feels great!!!
