If I use the Watch DVD activity to turn everything off, my DVD player powers back on if I took out a disk or pressed the STOP button before (the TV and the receiver turn off fine). If I am simply in the middle of the film and want to finish it later, everything turns off properly with one button. Does anyone have the same problem? I have a Yamaha DVD player.

Plug your DVD player's power cord into your receiver, that way when your receiver shuts down, so will your DVD player.

Just remember to use the harmony for everything

I plug in my CD player and my Tape deck in the receiver (and my equalizer into the Tape deck), which makes listening to music a one button power on/off operation, and I don't have any more plug inlets in my receiver. Of course a natural question comes to mind, "Who the f. listens to tapes these days," but I'm one of the few.

I will try ejecting the DVD using Harmony, see if that helps, and report back.
