Quality sucks, sorry...

Still have a lot to do, and some equipment to upgrade... but it's a good start.

Oh, and not all the furniture is in here yet, either..

not in a bad way. maybe it's just the first step in a series of upgrade plans???

and yes, many more upgrades to come... especially in the amp and pre/pro areas.

the white door. Clean and concealed. But I guess it would need a cooling fan and vent in the door for air to circulate.

Trying to decide what I want to do with it.

Thats what I would do.

and I'd have to build something out on the back side... which would also block my only access to the attic.

I'd more likely knock out a bit of the wall behind where the components are now and build in a middle atlantic rack.

On the other hand, that's $1,000+ that could go into better equipment ;)

carbonLORD

....you could move all of the components like a door that pushed inward, and then get into the attic, or whatever else is back there.

Thats really the cleanest solution IMO, and the way I see it, not that much nore then buying some fancy external rack. Plus it would be custom and..... damn it dloftis, I like that idea ;)

Whatever you decide, you certaily have the room for it.

Great for hiding from the INS! Anne Frank would be jealous!

No HDMI
No HDMI, for me, also means no 1080p (my video processor won't take 1080p on component or RGBHV)
No DTS
No DTS-HD Master Audio
No TrueHD

we're supposed to get DTS *out* with the next update. TrueHD is here now, but with lip-sync probs.

was just needling anyway ;-).

Might as well just play the DD track.

I have a 54x96 screen

I'm really tempted to get the HD-DVD drive. At $200, it's hard to beat. On the other hand, it's $200 I could put towards a dedicated player that I'm still going to want after I have the Xbox addon.

anyway, get the 1080p projector. worth it for that size screen with your room.

Someone may have aske this, but are your componets plugged directly into the wall outlets?....If so I would recommend a surge protector and power reconditioner immediatley.

You should really protect your equipment from power spikes and it improves their performance.

So yeah, it's all protected

Hardware....I think any of those colors would be better than the white covers you have on now.....

dloftis

only problem is that some of the outlets I'm using are PS Audio Power Ports, which aren't available in those colors... so I need to paint them.

Just clean the surface and spray....really easy to work with. It's available at the usual stores and comes in a variety of colors.

Good luck....
