Wife did not argue. I have not owned a video game console since I was about 14 years old so I think I'm due.
Question - any experience / thoughts / concerns / issues with the bluetooth wireless controllers?

And I have the 360 as well. So I wont compare because both are good.
BlueRay movies are awesome. Picture and sound will blow you away. Use it as your primary dvd player on your best screen.
Have had no issues with the wireless controllers. Get the 60 g version. Wirless set up to the network was flawless.
The only negative would be game selection. 360 had the same issue at launch. Must have games are Resistance: Fall of Man., TW golf, Madden, Call of Duty 3. Rainbow 6 vegas is shipping shortly. Fight Night 3. Those will keep you busy as more arrive.

wireless controller is great - no wires.
Using the game controller to play DVDs and Blue Ray was a pain so I got a remote specific (since it is bluetooth) This also means that any remote you have will not control the PS3 til someone makes a IR to Bluetooth or Harmony makes one that does both.
BTW Netflix has Blue Ray discs too.

several reasons:
- HDMI w/HDCP required for BR playback at full res. I have a CRT HDTV that only has component inputs, and don't have plans to replace it until it does
- lack of integrated scaler means some games won't work at 1080i, so I'd be forced to play at 480p since my TV doesn't support 720p input
- lack of compelling games. I have an xbox 360 right now, and there aren't any games on the PS3 that make it a must have

Also buying 1080p projector... I think I'm good to go.
