Any thoughts? I had a Harmony 8xx for a while and thought it was a complete piece of ****. I would pair this with the RF extender...

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000E0R1NK/interactiveda632-20</a

As I've said in previous posts, I'm a fan of Universal Remotes - Home Theater Master line due to the ergonomic design and button placement.

Remote Central is a great resource for reviews and forums.

Remote Central

I supposed it does come down to buttons vs on screen control. Personally I have never held either one so I should probably do that before making a choice!

hold it in your hand first to make sure it's comfortable and easy to use by touch without needing to constantly look down at it.

Touch screens can be big and bulky and are good for people who pop in a DVD and "just press play".

The Harmony is my favorite now. The ease of programming over the MX and the color screen are great.

The day-to-day ergonomics takes higher priority to one-time programming ease. Granted, I watch a lot of Tivo, so I have to use the shuttle buttons a lot and the MX wins hands-down on that.
