I was talking to them about buying an HDTV and we nearly had the deal wrapped up when the sales rep said that a TV that is bought through the mail does not come with a warranty. He went on to ask if I want to buy the 1 year, 3 year, or 4 year warranty.

I pointed out that their website says that every item is brand new and comes with manufacturer's 1 year warranty. He continued to tell me that I had to buy a warranty if I wanted any kind of warranty. Then he offered me a discount of $100 off the 3 or 4 year warranty and offered to have the TV shipped by a private truck rather than UPS. I thought I was talking to Tony Soprano.

I called Beach Camera and found the same TV and was told that it comes with the manufacturer's warranty for one year included at no extra cost. I bought from them.

The guy at Prestige Camera is a liar.
