Looking forward to new and improved "up-converted" pictures for all my old DVDs. I really wanted to get a HD-DVD player but I figured I'll wait until the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD debate it over before I commit.

My Sony Bravia KDL-40S2010 only does up to 1080i, but I'm wondering if the DVDs will look best with 720p?

I'll report back this week after everything is hooked up and initial testing is complete!

720p is probably the best bet, but try everything and see what looks best
