and please don't tell me to just spend the same amount on 2 speakers. I'm getting one of these, just help me pick the best:

1) Bose AM10 Series IV - $900 - this setup I've heard and sounds decent to me - it's my baseline to judge the rest.

2) Mirage NANOSAT Home Theater Speaker System - $600

3) Infinity Primus Theater Pack/PS-12 - $680

4) Infinity TSS-1100 - $700

5) Polk Audio RM6900 - $780

I know I can spend more than $20,000 for a set of speakers alone. I'm not interested in that - the room this will go into has a 2 story ceiling, obviously not a good setup for the perfect media room. I just want a simple decent sounding 5.1 setup. Which of these in your opinion would sound best?

TIA

KEF's KHT3005 sat/sub system at $1500 (retail) will nock spots off what you have listed. Being approx' double the price, it should do, but the Uni-Q technology they employ here works really well. Very good dynamics, detail and attack without being too bright like most sat/sub systems.
Bose are okay, but they have a very limited range and the low frequencies come from a device called a Bass Module - it's called this because it doesn't actually qualify as a sub-woofer; it doesn't go low enough.

It seems like they are more established over seas.

Well worth the extra expense, you'll have them for many years.
