I just noticed this...i always thought it was just dirty, but when i tried to wipe it, i realized it was a scratch. no idea how it got there -- maybe an errant zipper/button/key. Anyone know how to get this scratch off? or is this permanent?<br>

But, mine is just a tiny little divit. I think the thing is covered with some kind of a clear plastic-like finish, and probably just that finish is scratched. That's the good news. The bad news is there probably is no way of fixing a scratch in that plastic stuff. I am very careful now when it comes to not scratching that plate.

Try to be real nice to your dealer service guy the next time you are in and maybe to him it is discolored or loose. Maybe he would be might replace it under warranty.
