do you guys really think that the benefit of having super-expensive wiring justifies the exorbitant costs?

I've been told that Anthony Gallo famously and purposefully uses the cheapest wire with his speakers at audiophile shows to make a point that wiring is the last thing you want to spend money on.

but no testing by any of the magazines I have read could show it made the speakers sound better - only different.

Sonus Faber Electas with straightwire quad and naim wire. The straightwire was bi wired and teh naim was jumped. The difference int eh spendors wasnt as pronounced as the sonuses. The naim had much more separation in the midrange and a better sound stage. The straightwire was basier.

The setup was naim separates with hi cap and a NASPC power supplied added.

if you're going 100ft through the wall, by outlets and such, it'll make more of a difference than 3 feet with no other interference

I have heard certain cables make as big a difference as switching from solid state to tube amps in my system.
