I'm guessing that there must be some setting I am missing somewhere, because I can get audio from the optical port, but not through the hdmi.
tonight I string the coax to my antenna on the roof. I hope it works. Some at the store said you need a special antenna for hd, but much that I read indicates that is not so.

but for most people it isn't. Trial and error.

back before sat tv, I used the roof antenna with a signal amplifier for all my stations.
one question though do I connect the antenna to the analog antennal input, or the DTV input?

i know it was philly bc all the NY antennas were down. Still may pick it up, not positive.
