Custom built-in contains:

<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/10291/picture_005.jpg">

Sony KF60-WE610 LCD RPTV
Yamaha RXV-1400 Receiver
Panasonic 5-disc DVD changer
Comcast 120GB HD DVR (teh shiznit, especially for $5 a month)
6.1 speaker setup (a mishmash, but with some really nice ADS front mains)

All controlled by teh shiznit of all shiznit - A Harmony SST-659 remote, which singlehandedly maintains marital harmony (get it?) where the HT is concerned. In other words, without it, nobody but me would be able to even turn the stuff on!

YES, I like watching it - when I have the time!

:-P

The Harmony 680 definitely promotes marital Harmony - but not as much as TiVo does :)

It shows we did have some brilliance in our government - only time can determine that

you're the first person to comment on it.

McCarthur had his share of foolishness too though to be frank but on this he was spot on.

Seen Fog of War? Scary.

The other thing I was considering was a $99 unit from IKEA but it didn't fit my center speaker or A/V gear. The unit is a Bello AVSC-2500 and it's made specifically for AV gear.

The actual coffee table in the room is a real Barcelona Table and it will set you back a lot more than the AV stand :)

...works perfectly with the DVR. And, they are REALLY helpful (seriously) when you call for tech support. I had a problem with controlling my receiver which cropped up after I had the remote for a few months, and they had me back up and running in about 10 minutes. Really cool people, and the web interface makes it so easy for even them to do things to your remote that you don't care to take the time to learn yourself! ;-)

Oh, and thanks - It's pretty sweet down there. We finished our basement last winter, and the HT space turned out perfectly.

The street prices are pretty darn close to the 50% off, so I know I can still get a good deal if I dig.

I bought the wood ones in birch to match the rest of the gear with the thought that we could always paint them. They replaced ugly off-white metal ones.

We're living with them for a bit and will make the call later.
