Laziness causes me to ask before trying a few things...
Has anyone had trouble with "jerky" output? It comes and goes (mostly comes.)
I'm running the composite through my receiver (Yamaha RX-V2400) and didn't have any problems with my prior Dish receiver (older 4000). The Yami was upconverting the input and going composite to the DLP (circa 2003 Samsung NLN-5065WX), now (my assumption) it should just be passing the signal through. I'm running the DVR at 780p and in the right modes and inputs everywhere AFAIK. HD or SD, sat or off-air, they all do the same thing, live, recorded or delayed. Progressive DVD still looks great.
I have not, directly cabled the Composite to the set, changed the res, or called Dish. The DVR has the latest software and otherwise seems to work fine. I did have some strange channel selection delays one night, but I attributed that to the snowstorm rolling through the area.
I have, doen the easy things - unplug power from all affected devices, re-checked all the settings.
FWIW, I don't really desire to use the DVI input direct (the Yami doesn't have DVI) because I don't want to have to switch inputs on the DLP from DVI to composite to watch DVD and am not greatly concerned about the slight improvement DVI may have.
