I'm looking for a 32-36" HDTV in widescreen. That basically rules out any "cabinet" tv's... and plasmas/dlp/lcd's are just too exotic for me to want to invest in.

The only competing TV I can find is from Sony. But it's nearly $700 more.

I realize there's no HDTV tuner built in, but is that really an issue? I'm going to be getting my HD feed from satelite or cable anyway and all those boxes have add-on-antennas available for over-the-air stuff.

Am I missing something?

I have Directv also and use the sat reciever - so the tv is nothing but a monitor.
