seems like you work at a shop that sells Denon products. Got a number for anyone at their Itasca location (Marantz) that will take a call?

I need a remote power control cord for a POA-8300 power amp. P# 2034442001

Avoid calling a manufacturer at all costs.
As it goes, some are okay. Sony or Panasonic however..

But I really don't call them any more. rarely need to. So, no, no number. Sorry dooood.

Is it a regular IEC cord? If so, they are easy to make and of higher quality than the manufacturer's part.

Denon's authorized parts suppliers quoted me $20 and 4-7 WEEKS for the part, which of course is ridiculous.

I managed to find out that Denon had recently been purchased by Marantz, and was now HQ'd in Itasca, IL. Itasca happens to be a suburb of the great city of Chicago in which I live, so I'm like 'OK I"m going to make this work to my advantage'.

Today I managed to get their customer service manager on the phone and explain to him that all the parts suppliers were giving me ridiculous ETA quotes. He said he cannot sell me one directly. I said fine no problem, I will gladly pay $20 ($40 even), as long as I don't have to wait a month or two to get it. He tells me he cannot do that. And then says, "come by on Monday and pick it up. I can't take any money for it though."

w000000000000000t! Now *THAT* is good customer service.
