SEVEN audio salons within a few blocks from each other.
I'm gonna need to get a 2nd job to afford everything I want. I got away cheap this time, only buying one LP and an accessory.
didn't buy it at the audio shop, but @ one of the record stores adjacent.
Accessory: set of Vibrapods ($6 ea.) to use as footers for my home-brew TT platform. Already been using 'em for my DVD and preamp, nice 'n' squishy!
spent like another $50 on used vinyl.
So on Sunday at the airport coming home, the security X-ray lady is looking over my plastic baggie-o-LPs and sez "ooh..records...mind if I look inside!?" During the busiest travel day of the year no less!! I suppose I couldn't say no...

Ever try a lightly inflated bicycle inner-tube between two slabs of glass as an isolation platform? Works great and is uber-cheap.
there's 5 shops in a row there (6 if you count Precision, which does audio repairs); then up to University Way, between 50th and Ravenna, there's 2 more.
