My parents are thinking about re-doing our living room and would like a nice TV for it. It seems like theres a lot of stuff out there and I would just like this to be an informed purchase. They're not really sure what they're looking for but nothing to pricey, around 40" and thin if possible.

but just like audiworld, don't go there if you want everything condensed and bottlefed. You gotta take the time to read and research, and you have to deal with folks who are loyalists with respect to different technologies.
