I took advantage a slickdeals.net offer and got a new PC for desktop/gaming. I am going to convert my old Dell 8100 (P4 1.4) to HTPC.

The current video card only has VGA output. Is it possible to buy a device or adapter to convert VGA to DVI or component video so that I can hook it up to my Sony Grand Vega? Or do I need to get a new video card?

TIA

i am thinking of using the additional VGA port on my shuttle to hook it up to the RPHDTV, is it going to be plug and play you think? or am i going to have to use powerstrip or something similar?

Are you asking how is the quality of RGBHV connections? It is the best analog connection available. It surpasses component, and s-video by a huge margin.

FYI, RGB are the three colors of the spectrum. And H & V are horizontal and vertical sync.
