Do you guys rate this large format monitor? (Link below)

Also I plan to use if for multimedia, as well as a PC screen. It does support 480p progressive scan, 720i and 720p and the 1080i

I believe 480progressive is an NTSC format but I'm in the UK and use PAL. PAL progressive is 575p (corrent??) I can adjust the DVD player to output 480p NTSC and it is Multiregional so can buy Region 1 DVD's in NTSC. But what happens when I play PAL DVD's? Does it have to convert the PAL image to NTSC and adjust the fame rate? The screen support NTSC and PAL and I've heard something about PAL60, which is NTSC frame rate but PAL colour codes.

Or should I get a Plasma that support PAL progressive?

You need component video inputs for it. NTSC is 480i.

So if the DVD will output to component vid - then it should be able to display the dvd. I assume the display native resolution is 720p and just converts everything to it.
