Finally dumping my 12 yr old sony receiver for a 5.1 or 6.1 or 7.1 receiver.
set-up:
Fronts:Paradigm 9se's
Center:Paradigm cc-170
Sub: Klipch 12"
Rears: Currently Boston A60's, but after tomorrow Paradigm ADP's.
Was leaning towards Denon 3805, but I'm told that Denon isn't the best mix with Paradigm's. (MBradford, your running Denon/Paradigm mix, what do you think?)
Anybody got any Ideas? Budget is less than $1500.
Anybody running outlaw stuff?
Thanks,
Lane
I also read much about the mismatch between Denons and Paradigms when I was rec'r shopping last year. I was shopping the AVR-3803 against the Yamaha RX-V2400.
I ended up getting a great deal at the time on the RX-V1400 so I ended up with that instead, and I'm quite happy with it.

I am only going to have an audio setup (older denon audio reciever) with paradigm mini monitors hopefully,
would I be better off looking for something else or will it not matter in such a small app?

Toroidal transformer too. Grabs your speakers by the balls and delivers with smoothness and dynamics galore.
EARS processing is way better than ProLogicII; more even balance of surround effect.

T763

I have an AVR4800 with Denon Monitor 9s up front, Monitor 3s in the back, and a Paradigm wall-mount center channel. Love the setup.
We have the PSB Image series, which are known to be a bit on the bright side, and the Rotel mellowed them right out. Sound great, everyone is very impressed with our system.

I love that damn Denon... for home theater.

Great combo IMO. Have the CC450 center, and Studio 20s in the back with a PS1000 sub. Love that system.

I have one, and think it sucks hard for music.
Music sounds utterly lifeless through it to my ears. I don't know how to explain what's missing.
