I've decided to get either a new plasma or LCD TV. My budget is $4500 max, and would like HD if possible. I've just started looking and found the one linked below. Does anyone have any info about this tv? Any others I should loook at?

And before anyone recommends getting a DLP, its not going to happen - i need to mount the tv on a wall. Otherwise, I'd just keep my existing tv.

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11000297&whse=&topnav=&cat=331 4&hierPath=79*3314*</a

Plus you get the manufacturers warranty (in home service) instead of Costco's (which even though is money back, you have to take it off the wall and drag it in to the store).

Not a bad TV, but at the same store the Toshiba 42" plasma has a better picture for the same price.

If its an ALIS set I would say no but some of the phillips use either Nec or Matsu****a glass structure, wich are 2 of the best. You may also want to chect the AVS forum, heres a link.

If you are looking to spend 4.5k you may be able to get a 50inch through a few websites.

http://www.avsforum.com</a

It has much better black levels than other LCDs I've seen, and it looks crisper than similarly sized plasmas.

You could probably talk him into $4500, but he is not going to ship it so you'd have to come get it from hi house in Boston.

It requires the use of a separate box where you feed all of your video inputs into. This isn't necessarily a problem but the cable that goes to the monitor is too short.
