If money wasn't an object, I love the Pioneer Elites. One of my favorite plasmas out there. The 4340 is an excellent set as well. It probably does 85% or more of what the Pioneer is capable of.

Problem is, I never had a chance to play with the Pioneer to see if I could get a better picture out of it. And even if I had a chance, it probably would have taken me 5-6 hours to tweak it to the point I was happy. I've seen the Elite in several stores, and it's always seems to look great. Maybe it's calibrated well right out of the box? I don't know.

Save your Elite money difference for the ISF calibration and a fine DVD player.

I think it's the same as the 4340 minus the TV tuner and speakers.

woudl be nice ot have a plasma for day time viewing but its not quite in teh budget

now that the couch is here i can start setting things up though

my neighbor here has a gateway 42" plasma and voom and it was a nice combination.
hes getting a 50" in the next month though since 42 isnt quite big enough for these living rooms
