I don't think there are any substantive performance/handling changes in '09 vs. '08.

However, the new MMI version premieres with the '09, while the only other actual difference is that the Premium Package is now standard on both S8 and A8 models---which includes:

-Advanced key.
-Audi parking system advanced with rear view camera.
-Power trunk opener.
-Rear power sunshade and manual side rear door sunshades.
-Power door closers.

The following are now optional:
Leather package 1 (center console and door handles).
Rear heated seats (included in cold weather package).

New Technology Package:
-Adaptive cruise control.
-Audi side assist.
-Audi lane assist.

I take it the Ice Arena is long gone. Just like Marshall Field's is now Macy's I hear. Can you verify?
