I can't stand the Adaptive cruise control IN my 2007 A8L. Does anyone know if there is a way to shut off the radar and turn it into regular cruise using VAG-COM?

V8growler 04-17-2007, 08:02 AM I can't answer your question, I'm afraid, but out of interest what about it can't you stand? Is it that the radar is confused by other things and so not working as intended, or just that it slows you down rather than you having that control, which you are not comfortable with? Scott in Cincy 04-17-2007, 10:10 AM I've had my car (2005 SWB) for a few months, and at first I thought it would be cool, but it's not. I don't like the fact that I can't drive the way I want to with it. I think after 20 years of driving, you get into certain habits about using cruise and lane changes, etc. (Bad though they may be) Having the car slow down (when you're actually paying attention) get's annoying. I too, would like to shut this down as well...just not sure if it's possible either. oaktree77 04-17-2007, 12:38 PM I don't like it because I don't use the interstate very much. I use mostly side roads and it seems to keep shutting off due to curves in the road and such. Gets very annoying when you want to just cruise. |
