Ok, my never ending saga to get the phone working in my wife's A8L continues. The latest from the dealership is that the V60 phone will not function without having an OnStar membership. Are there any other 'o4 owners out there with working V60 phones that can help shed some light?

As far as phones, OnStar is on its way out.

Easiest fix would be to search on this forum for Onstar to Bluetooth conversion. I think my dealer might do the conversations from time to time. Riverside Audi, dont know how much it would cost. There is also a site where you can buy a V60 Bluetooth Adaptor, if you have the V60 Cradle already in your car. But i dont know what if any re-programming will have to be done. http://www.bcdonline.com/V60/

But i know for a fact it can be done. Or try checking the telematics forum, i know there was a guy advertising that he was doing the conversation. Dont miss around with that onstar, its crap.

You do not need active onstar for phone to work.
Just do bluetooth module.
