It's Northern Blue pearl effect with just about all the options except the fridge. Adaptive Cruise Control is everything I'd hoped it would be and more!

I have a couple of questions I'm hoping one of the other new owners can answer ...

1. The B&O stereo sounds awesome but I'm a little underwhelmed at the delivery experience. I didn't get a demo CD (the salesman had to use the *Bose* demo!) and there's no extra manual describing its special features. Did I miss out on something?

2. Should there be a cargo net in the trunk? The manual implies it's standard but it's not very specific on the topic.

3. There's not much in the documentation about the Sirius radio service (for instance, how to sign up and pay for it). Should there be at least a brochure?

Overall, it feels a little like I'm missing a small package of "stuff" that's somehow gotten separated from the car.

Welcome, great color I have the same. Do not feel bad I did not get a cargo net. Cost cutting for 2007?

1) I would ask the dealer about the B&O manual.
2) I think a lot folks put an Audi trunk liner in so maybe they decided there wasn't a lot of demand?
3) You should get 3 months of free service for the Sat Radio. You can activate by calling 1-888-539-SIRIUS. The serial number for the radio is accessible in the SETUP portion of MMI when you have the Sirius screen selected. If you decide to keep your A8 for 4 years, it is less expensive to purchase the lifetime subscription for your receiver.

Guess I better keep my "net" when I turn in my '04 in Feb and just say I never got one.

I keep my net "strung" out flat on the floor of the trunk, that way I can just sit things on it or if I stick a single small item in the trunk I can just shove it under it pretty easy.

The B&amp;O is covered in the Infotainment manual. There is no separate manual for it. Yes I know, thats a bit of a surprise!
Mine did not have a cargo net and the dealer confirmed it is out for 07. I agree, this is a ridiculous cost cutting move on cars of this value.
You will probably also find there is no TPMS transducer fitted to the spare - another cost saving idea!
The salesman should have told you how to activate sirius but I se someone else has already covered this with you.
The car is awesome, unfortunately dealer performance is not uniform. My dealer is excellent as is the service department. It all depends on who you go with. Not a good answer but a fact.

My spare (which is full size to my slight surprise) does have a TPMS sensor. The MMI shows info for all five wheels. I've already ordered a trunk liner so the lack of the cargo net isn't that important (though I agree that it smells of cost cutting).

Just drove the car over Hecker Pass near Santa Cruz, CA this morning and can't get the grin off my face :-)

Thanks for the help. I think I've found most of the various pieces of info scattered around the documentation. I didn't feel my dealer experience was bad though I did overhear one of the salesman telling a colleague to look up an answer to a customer question on this forum which I thought was a little strange :-)

One small thing I'm really enjoying already is that the MMI doesn't have that annoying "click ok to agree not to use this while driving" screen that almost every other similar system I've used has (according to one review I read, the Q7 has it before you can see the rear view camera image!).

I have NEVER, EVER used the cargo net in my '04 D3. It has been crammed into the left trunk storage pocket since day one. I'm about to toss it down with the spare tire.
