Wowdi 10-09-2006, 12:35 PM ...and can be especially noticable during times of heavy temperature change such as now. I suspect the dealer can clean or disinfect the ducts. Plano-4.2 10-09-2006, 01:32 PM I had mine done back in August and that has fixed that problem....for now ;-) greenie 10-09-2006, 01:43 PM geordie 10-09-2006, 02:25 PM come out of its little hole! greenie 10-09-2006, 02:44 PM gwelch 10-09-2006, 02:54 PM Seemed to work at first, but the problem has raised it's stinky head (or feet) again! I'm so tired of putting up with this I guess it's time to call my advocate.

My stinky smell thread... <sigh>

Plano-4.2 10-09-2006, 03:55 PM Even after all that trauma inflicted on the interior of your car. It's be nice if they were able to make a quick/easy way to get the disinfectant into whereever the mold is occuring. The disintectant trick worked on my car, but with the change in seasons (well almost) and my being out of town the last month or two, I don't have a lot of sample points. Randy Welch 10-09-2006, 04:43 PM The car still doesn't seem to drain. Drive my car anywhere and it leaves a puddle of water. greenie 10-09-2006, 05:09 PM PaulW 10-10-2006, 06:21 AM

:-)

D3AeighT 10-10-2006, 12:15 PM Is your car garaged most of the time, or out in the "elements"? I've not had this occurance...yet!!!!!!!! but my car is rarely in the "elements" either. Steel_Rain 10-12-2006, 07:38 PM Bill (and Wowdi), This is correct, TSB #2010146/3. Please take this number into your local Audi dealer. You would be surprised that most dealers do not know about this TSB, and some have even CHARGED customer's for a warranty claim that pays the technician almost a full hour. There are certain chemicals and a process that needs to be completed, but we have had ZERO comebacks after completing the "Aircomatic" procedure on late model Audi's (M.Y.2005-F and A8 M.Y.2004-F). Pease email me if you would like a copy of the TSB to bring to your dealer and let me know if you have any other issues with your car that your local dealer cannot help with. gwelch 10-14-2006, 12:31 AM I've had my car in so many times for this issue, the last time they went so far as to replace the evaporative housing. I've done everything they've told me to do and I'm still having issues. Here's my question: Shouldn't my car leave a puddle of water under it after the A/C has been on for a while and after I come back to my car - there is NEVER a puddle. For at least the past year and a half I have never seen a puddle under my car - I tried to tell my S.A. and he didn't think this was significant, however, every car I've ever driven left condensation puddles under the car, all the other 5 Audi's we've owned left condensation puddles, shouldn't my A8L? I think I have a plugged drain somewhere... TIA |
