1) Dealer examined the windshield and determined that it was cracked from the outer layer in. He told me that this indicates that it was NOT a stress fracture and therefore NOT covered under warranty. He showed me how he made the determination and it seems to make sense.
2) When the dealer removed the old windshield, they cracked the plastic cowl. I will now not get my car back until Monday at the earliest.
3) I DO, however, get to keep my new A4 2.0T Quattro loaner until then.
Some good some bad. Oh well!
