TIA Fred edwardschmedward 12-12-2005, 09:35 AM The fit is basically good... the rear pieces need to be trimmed to fit (but not in a cheap looking way). I haven't gotten the carpet/mix ones, I just keep the rubber ones in all year. I don't drive barefoot so comfort isn't really an issue down there. (I once test drove a pre-owned Bentley Turbo R that had black sheepskin floormats that you would lie your baby down on. I thought that was just ridiculous! But, each to their own. I have the Audi all weather rubber mats in my A8L all year long. I'm perfectly happy with them. derfA8L 12-12-2005, 10:55 AM ...my car's beige carpeting. Wish Audi offered their's in colors other than black or gray (although the gray might work). D3AeighT 12-12-2005, 12:26 PM in my '97 & '99 D2's with Ecru Interior with Brilliant Black Exterior. The black mat as an accent tend to make the interior less "stoggy" or should I say "sportier". However, my caveate to you is, it is a personal preference though. I have the A8L Audi rubber mats that were comp'd to me by AoA for an issue a year ago. I "loves" them and probably won't re-install the carpet mats ( sitting in garage ) until I turn the car in next March '07. edwardschmedward 12-12-2005, 12:40 PM I don't remember the name of my interior color, I would never have ordered it... but am happy with it now. Sand beige? Something like that... The mats look fine. derfA8L 12-12-2005, 12:48 PM

boxman 12-12-2005, 05:24 PM I went with the Audi rubber mats in the grey color, at first I didn't think they would look good but with the grey trim along the doors, they look great. A nice contrast to the creme interior. boxman 12-12-2005, 05:36 PM I ordered a set of coco mats from a quality company in CT for when BETTER weather arrives in the spring. With the creme interior I got the tan with the white dot combination (their name for it) looks great with the creme color. The driver side has a rubber inset for the shoe area, $179 for a 4 pce set, heavy construction, great quality, I'll bet the whole set weighs 10 lbs. Check it out! SMA8L 12-12-2005, 07:57 PM Hi Derf: I live in Colorado and perhaps you've noticed the monumental snowfall we've experienced to date. That said, I am using the A8 winter mats available from audiusa.com and must say that they are incredible. While they lack the luxury of a pile mat, these rubber units have super deep grooves that contain ALL of the snow and water I can pile on them. Way better than any Weathertech I've owned. All the best. ::SM derfA8L 12-13-2005, 05:30 AM geordie 12-13-2005, 06:56 AM performance is excellent. I would just advise that they discolor over time from use and no amount of cleaning agents, scrubbing or bleach gets them back. I am considering changing to black - we have black winter mats in the A4 with a paltinum interior - where the contrast looks OK but the mats won't discolor. |
