I recently bought a new 2005 A8L and after sitting in the garage for a few days, the car starts but nothing else will work such as the MMI. You can also hear a buzzing/ticking sound. The dealer checked it and said the batteries were OK and when I went to pick the car from the dealer, it did the same thing again. The car has 110 miles on it. Very frustrating; please let me know if anyone on this forum had a similar exsperience. Thank you.

well, mine pops up when I have my foot on the brake... since you have to do that to put it in gear anyway that is usually done simultaneously...

do you usually start the car with your foot on the brake and does that make any difference? just a thought.

The foot brake does not affect it at all. I got it from the dealership yesterday and they replaced the radio control module. I hope that fixes it.
