related to the passenger side air bag. I wonder if someone can turn that damn light off at the same time? I know, electrical tape!

That recall is to rectify a fault in the passenger side airbag igniter circut. It has nothing to do with the airbag off light. It is illegal for a dealer to tamper with that light, so you'll probably not find anyone to help you with that.

be modified - just venting. I don't know whose idea it was to add a bright, distracting light in the center of the car and hail it as a safety feature! Some legislator I guess.
Thanks again.

...them to handle. Guess they decided to issue a recall and let the dealers do it. The operation is a bit involved and they do have to remove the center console, glove box, knee air bag housing and loosen the front passenger seat (at least that's what was done to my car), so I'd ask them to insert as much felt lining in the areas they open up to avoid any potential creaks and squeeks after it all gets closed up.

rubbing---Hence, the suggestion about having them use the felt insulation for all areas that require re-fastening. They should test drive the car over some bumps and dips to check of any noises before you get the car back. Just my 2-cents.

As I just got my car, Thanksgiving, does this recall include me? Thanks Tony
